This may seem random. But it’s relevant to the people that were there. Thanks guys. Always the inspiration.
Due to popular demand. (Ok I made that up.) Here is a Hymn only version of the Song in Drummer. I imagine this being sung by our ‘hero’ the Drummer with their forces off to fuel stunning victory after stunning victory for the good people of Lye. That is until… well… you know. And don’t worry this is NOT the surrogate for the weekly short story. you can expect to see that Wednesday.
Vigilance of Lye
Defenders true.
Under a field hewn blue.
Stand the vigilant Sons of Lye.
A shadow cast long across our land
Brought on by the devil’s hand.
People live and people die.
Banners fall and banners fly.
March, don’t walk towards thy fate.
Innocent’s guardians can’t be late.
We are but two hundred strong.
Rest is short and trails be long.
Carry your spears and sword.
And pass down heavens word…
We may bleed and die.
And maidens they may cry.
Swords brought forth, Banners High!
Eyes cast upward to the Sky!
Rallly forth Sons of Lye!
Eyes cast upward to the Sky!
Evil cast your stare
Vigilance doesn’t care
All these things you’ve lost.
All come at greater cost.
March forward, keep up thy chin.
Ready your pens bards, fate begins.
We are bold, two hundred strong,
Heart uplifted by our song!
Honor lifts all burden.
We will cleanse this world of sin!
Bleed well for thy nation.
Vigilance, thy station!
Crusades begin. Brave within’
Let conviction prove words true.
Devil’s mark upon their fur.
Line of man and monster blurred.
They will fall before our hand.
Vigilant friends, we make our stand.
Fathers past and children to come.
Hear our prayers deaf to some.
We’ll never bleed and die.
Our maidens heads held high!.
Swords brought forth, Banners High!
Eyes cast upward to the Sky!
Rallly forth Sons of Lye!
Eyes cast upward to the Sky!
True heroes never die.
Say the Sons of Lye
Evil may grin
Good will win.
Stand tall, vigilant Sons of Lye.
